Full description
On this full-day tour you’ll discover Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the villa that’s surrounded by an amazing natural park, a castle, beautiful palaces and chalets. Take a walk along the medieval streets of Sintra an drive through the national park and see the rare fauna, the unique trees, the Moorish castle, Monserrate Palace and the chalets. Visit Pena Palace, one of the most impressive expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in architecture in the world and one of Portugal’s seven wonders. Say goodbye to Sintra with an optional visit to mystical Quinta da Regaleira, a palace surrounded by luxuriant gardens, lakes, caves and enigmatic constructions that hide obscure alchemist meanings, evoked by Freesmasons, Knights Templar and Rosicrucians. Great tour! In total, it was 10 hours. Tour guide spoke great English and great Italian. If you want to go to Sintra, you 100% need a tour guide. The area is far too complicated. Doing this guide was so easy and not confusing at all. On vacation, you should be able to relax and have fun. With this tour, that is exactly what happened. Busy busy day but that’s the tour!! Highly recommend. I spent about 20 euros more on this trip for admission to the castles, so admission is not included. Food is not included either, but you do not have to eat, however, I do recommend eating at the castle because you will be soo tired after such a long day.

Andre was an excellent guide and made the long day very engaging and fun! Never expected to laugh so much on a day trip. He kept it light but we still felt like we learned a lot. We really enjoyed every stop of the trip and didn’t feel like any could be skipped. Highly recommend!
