Full description

Embark on a full-day guided tour to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge, and Oxford from London. Take the scenic route through the lush English countryside in a comfortable air-conditioned bus.

The first stop on this tour is Windsor Castle. With its sweeping landscaped gardens and turreted Round Tower, it is easy to see why the castle is the Queen’s favorite weekend residence.

Enjoy a fascinating through-the-keyhole peek at the lavish State Apartments, home to priceless artworks by Rembrandt and Leonardo da Vinci. You can also visit Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and St George’s Chapel - the final resting place of the monarchs of old, including Henry VIII. The tour then moves on to spectacular Stonehenge. You will never forget your first glimpse of the monolithic rock formation rising up against the skyline of the Salisbury Plain.

Theories abound as to Stonehenge’s mysterious origin. Was it intended as a religious temple? An astronomical clock? A Bronze Age burial ground? Make up your own mind as you explore this unique landmark. Your final stop of the day is the charming university town of Oxford. Here you will enjoy a walking tour with free leisure time. Stroll the captivating college courtyards and cobbled lanes of this historic university town. The tour will finish at approximately 07:15 PM in London.

Our guide was excellent! I can’t say enough about how informative, friendly and fun she was. This tour is long but worth it if you don’t have a lot of time in UK and want to see a lot in one day. Even though we didn’t have a lot of time in each place I still feel like we saw and experienced the essence of each stop.

This tour was very good. I only recommend it if you are very comfortable with spending a short amount of time in each place. It is not meant for those who like to wander around. Our guide Ari was great. She kept us informed, moving and provided us helpful hints to the best use of our time at each site. She also kept us informed between stops as well. The bus was comfortable and was always waiting for us. Our driver Abdullah was very generous with his time considering we had some timing issues with some careless tour members. Ari kept things running efficiently. The sites were awesome and ready for us when we arrived. Windsor Castle has a lot of security checks so a lot of time is wasted there. Windsor and Oxford are fun towns. Cool shopping if you have time. Stonehenge is well run and really quite breath taking.

Great tour, you see a lot, but you are exhausted after the day because you usually only have an hour at the stations themselves and have to rush through accordingly. Our guide Bruce was polite and funny but only spoke English. But you don't need a tour in another language to understand the stations. Finding the bus station takes some time, be sure to be there on time or a little earlier!
