Incredibly disappointed. We were with a small child so were at the back walking to the sledges which meant we had to go in the last one which had a cover on it. It was frosted over pretty bad so we couldn't see a thing. Guide told us to look out of the side but we couldn't do that either as it would have been dangerous. We didn't really get to see the lights which was fine as we were expecting that may be the case. This is why we booked this particular excursion so it would be fun anyway seeing all the scenery. At the last stop, one of the guides asked the people in the other sledges to swap with us for the last 10 minutes so "we could all enjoy the experience". This meant that we at least got a couple of photos. Unfortunately though, given how much we paid, it was too little too late. Felt a little like this is a common issue. Advice to other travellers, get to the front when walking to the sledges so you don't get stuck in that one.

It was a super experience. Very smooth and organised. Unbelievable to see Queen Victoria’s home. The weather was so kind to us as we were able to stroll through the gardens and see Princess Diana’s memorial. We were in luck too as we saw King Charles and The Queen Consort land by helicopter in the grounds of Kensington gardens. Priceless!! We then saw him next day in his Bentley driving past us on Cromwell Road, how lucky were we?

A walk through the park is highly recommended. The Palace is outwardly rather unspectacular. You learn a lot about its residents. The exhibitions are changing at the moment (October 2022) there is a photo exhibition. It's a pity that you see very little about/from Diana. She is there only a very small part in the history of the Palace and its occupants. A highlight are the employees. They tell the stories of the house and its residents with a lot of heart and soul.
