The Palace gardens are beautiful, but you can access them and the wider park for free. The Palace contains mainly pictures of the family but rooms are empty. I was hoping to see furniture, etc. The café adyacente to the gift shop within the Palace is nice and has delicious cake and tea that is affordable. The Pavilion accessible through the garden requires reservation to have a more upscale tea time with pastries.

Took my mum as a surprise, we actually loved it- me more than I thought I would. Seeing an insight to this country’s royal history was mesmerising, and the details inside the palace were amazing and a pleasure to look at. A beautiful atmosphere, staff were very friendly as well. Well worth the money

We enjoyed seeing the rooms Queen Victoria was born in etc. Staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. The photography exhibition not so much. Would have preferred to see clothes etc from the era. The cafe was horrible - too small for the amount of people - tables and seating packed in like sardines but the cream tea was excellent.
