Full description
There is so, so much to see and discover during this unique tour. The legal and cultural LGBTQI is learned and discussed whilst taking in some of the loveliest and splendourous sights London has to over. Most LGBTQI tours focus on the Civil Liberties: this tour offers unique insights into the various civilisations attitudes and practices in the LGBTQI space. The qualified guide is dressed as Anne Bonney, the infamous pirate, who allegedly had a lesbian relationship with Mary Read, another girl pirate: cross dressing and the culture of M/F identities within UK arts, and music scene is talked about openly in some great spaces. The Royal Family, LGBTQI in royal context is given by the guide in St. James' Park within eyeshot of Buckingham Palace, the place of royal residence since Victoria & Albert. The differences between the treatments of men and women in the LGBTQI history is discussed here before walking to Piccadilly and London's theatreland. Here discover just how important to the arts and music counter culture in London has been totally dependant on and due to the LGBTQI contribution. The notorious and famous Admiral Duncan pub in Soho is visited for a well earned pint and to take in a space that has survived a lot of anti LGBTQI feeling. This is a tour that doen's just cover Pride and the trials and tribulations of the LGBTQI space, but the rich variety of that world, it's legal and cultural journey and the important participants. Questions and contributions from those taking part are encouraged and practiced throughout the duration of the tour. We depart and end in Soho with the choice of remaining with the group and guide or leaving.
