Have an adventure along the El Caminito del Rey and walk 100 meters above the Guadalhorce River. Discover the Conde de Guadalhorce Dam, Desfiladero de los Gaitanes Canyon, and Guadalhorce River's history and importance to El Caminito del Rey.

Meet your guide and board your bus for a ride towards Conde de Guadalhorce Dam. Begin your walking tour and learn how the dam is Málaga's main water reserve. Hear about the history of the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes and how the canyon was carved by the Guadalhorce River from your guide. Prepare to test your nerves on a high-up adventure along El Caminito del Rey. Follow the path which is about 3 kilometers long and less than 1 meter wide, hanging 100 meters above the Guadalhorce River. This is one of the best activities I have done and so well organised, our guide Rachel was fantastic and the scenery oh wow. The walkway felt secure, though admittedly if you are scared of heights it might be a challenge but so worth it, we started via the South side and there was a slight incline to go up to get to the start.

Punctually at half past eight a large taxi came to drive us to the Caminito del Rey. The driver had a rather rapid driving style. On site, we learned that due to a landslide, only half is currently accessible. But this was not a problem. We had a guide from the UK who was very personable and funny. On the way you felt safe and the landscape is super beautiful. It was a great experience and we would do it again anytime. We were previously told at the tourist info that getting to the Caminito by public transport was complicated and that you also had to book a slot through the official website beforehand - with the 'get your guide' tour everything was straightforward.

Good tour, well organised. We were picked up by a guy in a taxi and then handed over to an official guide from Caminito del Rey. Only took half of the day but was worth it. The views are amazing. I would've loved to have spent more time there so would recommend making your own way there if you can.
