Pittsburgh: Beauty of the Burgh Bike Tour

1. Pittsburgh: Beauty of the Burgh Bike Tour

Our most popular tour! This tour is perfect if you are new to the city and you would like to see the most interesting spots of Pittsburgh. But if you know the Burgh already, we promise that you will still learn unknown historical facts! On this tour we will cruise through the streets of the Financial and Cultural district, explore the Strip District and check out the North Shore on its scenic river trails. We will dive into the history of Pittsburgh, tracking down the people who shaped this city to what it is today: a beauty. Old and new buildings, city squares and public art will turn this ride into a unique event full of exciting (re)discoveries of The Burgh. A fun quiz will be part of this tour, too. The winner will be rewarded with a 30% discount at the next tour! Participants of this tour will also get a cute, little Pittsburgh souvenir.

Pittsburgh: Historic Downtown City Exploration Game

2. Pittsburgh: Historic Downtown City Exploration Game

Explore Pittsburgh’s historic downtown in this engaging phone exploration game. Use your phone to follow clues and solve puzzles, as you explore the city and learn more about it. See landmarks like Mellon Square, PPG Place, and more. Start the game at Fort Duquesne, and take on the role of a groggy butterfly emerging from its chrysalis, excited about an upcoming migration. As you solve challenges, the story will unfold and exact directions on your phone will guide you to the next location. It will take between 1-1.5 hours but you should explore at your own pace: simply pause the game and resume when you want from the location where you paused it. You can play on your own, in a large group, or in several smaller groups that compete against each other before meeting at the final stop of the game, PPG Place.

Our tour guide Kane was very knowledgeable about the history and city of Pittsburgh, and the pace of the bike ride around the city was great. I recommend an early morning tour, as the city was less crowded and easier to see everything, and it also allowed for time afterwards to do things in the city that we saw during our tour. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience that I would recommend to anyone visiting the city for the first time, or if you are returning and want something fun and affordable to do, either alone or with others.

Very informative and good tour to get to know Pittsburgh. Will was a great guide.

In Pittsburgh, the sights are a bit hidden, so the game helps.
