Discover the highlights of Milan on a half-day guided tour, including entrance to the legendary opera house of La Scala. Start in the heart of the city, at the famous Duomo. Continue to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II for a walk through the glass vaults of the majestic 19th-century shopping arcade. Often referred to as, “Salotto di Milano” (“Milan’s Drawing Room”), the gallery is surrounded by boutique shops and cafés. Next, go to Piazza della Scala for a tour of the legendary La Scala Theatre opera house. Built in 1776, the theater has played host to some of the world’s greatest musicians, including Giuseppe Verdi, Bellini, Rossini, and Donizetti. See the beautiful horseshoe auditorium from one of the 4th row boxes (except when rehearsals or performances are in progress). Continue to the hidden Piazza dei Mercanti, and enjoy a short respite from the crowds as you thrill to Bramante’s illusion of space created during the Renaissance. Our tour guide, Alessia, was very nice and knowledgeable. She not only gave us a lot of interesting information about the history but was also very fun to talk to and gave us great restaurant recommendations. I highly recommend this tour if you would like to get a quick introduction to the city of Milan.

Outstanding tour within permitted time having flexibility

The tour was outstanding and the guide Cristina was full of knowledge anything about Milan. Cristina called me on my mobile well in advance before we met Cristina at Milan Duomo as per agreed time and this is somewhat we feel like in home at Milan. She was waiting having placard with my name on it and it was wonderful welcome from her. We started tour with outside visit of Duomo followed by inside of duomo with detail explanation from Cristina at every point.Then we moved thru Galleria Vittorio Emanuele to La Scala museum (outside only) and finally to Castello Sforzesco. The weather was excellent as spoken by Cristina herself and the fine weather made the walking tour more comfortable. We had the experience of Gelato during the walking in one of the shop suggested by Cristina and it was amazing. The tour will be always in our heart and mind and this was possible only because of Cristina.

Tour was great, guide was wonderful!

Our guide was excellent. Nice, polite and very informative. We throughly enjoyed our tour and learned much. We would definitely book another tour with her. Well worth the money.
