We did the tour of the opera. The guide was already waiting for us with a sign with our name on it. First, a tour was given outside with information that gave extra clarification for inside. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. Inside the tour was great too. Well worth it.

The history of La Scala, its importance as a cultural place in Milan and all the famous conductors, musicians and singers were told very well by our very friendly guide. Unfortunately, there is no possibility of seeing the "back stage" or going 2 minutes to the stage, inside even with a private guided tour (which remains expensive) but the guides can not do anything about it.

We booked the tour in German and were at the agreed meeting point about 20 minutes before the start. Luckily for us, we had a private tour with Lorella who told us a lot and interesting things about the opera. Since we were very early, we had a glimpse into the opera without the glass barriers from one of the boxes. Got insider tips on which places are very good and not that expensive and were lucky enough to see a sample afterwards. We can highly recommend the tour.
