Full description

Milan’s Duomo, one of the city’s most iconic buildings, was built over 600 years ago, and is one of the 4 largest cathedrals in Europe. On a 1-hour guided tour you’ll learn about the artistic and architectural features of the cathedral, and its connection with the history of the city. Admire the Gothic elements of its design and its numerous paintings and statues. From your guide you’ll hear the legends associated with the Duomo and also see its pagan elements, such as zodiac symbols. Head downstairs to the basement, where you’ll visit the crypt under the altar, the site of the centuries-old tomb of the Archbishop Carlo Borromeo. Choose the extended tour option (2.5 hours) and enjoy a guided visit to the Rooftop, where you’ll have a chance to take in panoramic views of Milan.

WOW ! the chance to climb up to the top of the Duomo and walk among the spires was thrilling !!! the guide gave a very rich description of the entire interior and exterior and after the rooftop tour is over you all the time you want to stay around and if you time it right see the sunset from the rooftop and still explore the interior - really well done tour

This tour was very well organized and led by Chiara. She is very knowledgeable and got to know each of us on the one hour tour. She pointed out little known facts and details on the history of Milan and the Duomo. She also had a wonderful sense of humor and perspective. I would highly recommend asking for Chiara.

Chiara was an amazing guide! She is full of energy and wonderful information. We toured in the rain but had the best time learning with her. We toured both the Duomo and the rooftop and we agreed that the rooftop was the highlight. Views were outstanding! Chiara made this an unforgettable experience. We send her our love from New Jersey !
