Full description

Take a 5-hour tour of the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, a place of memory and of education. To visit it can be a challenge, but also a deeply moving and memorable experience. A professional guide, trained and authorized by the Memorial site, will organize all travel arrangements, taking you on the return journey by train and bus from Munich.

You will get a comprehensive tour of the entire area, including all the surviving original buildings, the museum exhibition center, and the cinema, which screens an English language documentary film. The guides are trained to convey often difficult and disturbing material to you with sensitivity, with dignity, with respect for the victims, and without recourse to cheap sensationalism.

Werne was the perfect guide for this tour. Hearing his perspective on Germany's horrific past was heart-wrenching, and it was obvious that he was passionate about providing an educational experience for guests, and a dignified tribute to the victims. Some sights were difficult to witness and to hear about, but I'm glad that I took the time to visit. May we always have the courage to stand tall in the face of evil, may we never forget, and may such atrocities never happen again.

its a great tour. only thing is you don't have enough time to spend in the museum building. one suggestion is, tell your guide you want to stay and it would be easy to find your way back to the train station to munich . just make sure you let your guide know you are doing that.

This tour was great! Radius Tours was incredibly helpful. Jake was an awesome tour guide! Used to be a high school teacher so really knows how to keep a group engaged. His own family history was very interesting and woven into the tour seamlessly. Adds a personal touch. Time at the site felt a bit rushed through the museum portion, could use about 30 min on your own to explore. Overall really great! A must do!
