Full description

Start in the very heart of Munich, at Marienplatz (St. Mary's Square) with its beautiful New City Hall and view to Frauenkirche (Cathedral of Our Dear Lady). Marvel at St. Peter's, the first and eldest church of Munich. Go inside to admire its precious interior.

Head to Viktualienmarkt, Germany's biggest food and grocery market with many Bavarian delicacies, to get a feeling for Bavarian food and where you meet some of the vendors. Only some minutes away, visit the famous Hofbräuhaus with its numerous international tourists but also strict Bavarian traditions.

Continue to Max-Joseph-Square to discover the Royal Residence, where the family of Wittelsbach (the Bavaria kings) lived, loved, and ruled. If there is time left, stop at Fieldmarshall's Hall, erected when the old city walls have been demolished. Discover the evolution Munich has experienced from a medieval market through all bright and dark episodes of history to the capital of Bavaria.

The guided tour with Klaus was super interesting and entertaining! He showed us many must-sees, gave us exciting additional information that you can't easily find in travel guides, and made the whole thing extremely entertaining with his humorous way. On top there was a voluntary extension with an additional goal for free on top. Highly recommended, thank you for this great experience!

The tour was just great! Our guide Peter, a real Munich veteran, took a lot of time for us and made the tour a real experience with lots of information, little stories and anecdotes. Also highly recommended for long-time residents of Munich! You learn a lot ;) We will ask for Peter again on the next tour :)

Last Saturday I took part in the city tour in Munich with my mum. It was sooooo cool! Even though I live here, I didn't expect to get such great information. Our guide Synthia was really nice and not only told us the years, but also told really great stories! Thank you for this really nice trip.
