Ferry to Delos. Booking is for both ferries, to Delos and back to Mykonos, and you can choose which times you will leave and come back. There were three trips a day when we went, first leaves Delos at 10AM and first comes back to Mykonos at 1:30PM. Ferry departures are every one and a half hours or so.

Wrong company name - in GYG it says "Delos Boat" - correctly it must be called "Delos Tour". You get 3 ticket slips and a thin, inconspicuous slip. The inconspicuous piece of paper is for the first boarding - quite a few tourists were confused. Then the ticket slips for the return journey. You need a ticket to enter the excavations. Again the tourists are confused. The crossing is professional and quick. There is a bar. Quietly position yourself at the exit a few minutes early and arrive at the ticket office before the crowd. Saves 20-30 min. Max stay is 120 min, then the ferry goes back. The ticket costs 12 EUR. On our day it was free. The excavations are extraordinary and impressive. A must have when you're around.

We booked just the transfer ticket and had our own tour book downloaded. There is a wait to buy entry tickets on the island once you arrive. Tour guide group probably got about a 10 minute head start on us. We started in the opposite direction recommended and didn’t have crowds to deal with and were able to enjoy the ruins without waiting for a large group to see things.
