Along with your friendly, local guide, enjoy an authentic Haarlem experience on a personalized tour. Explore this picturesque city’s history, culture, and fantastic food scene as you’re led down quaint streets (those off the well-trodden tourist trail) flanked by grand architecture. You'll be paired with guides that are passionate about the place they call home and who choose to spend their free time sharing it with like-minded travelers matched to them. Meet your host at Amsterdam Station (or directly in Haarlem) and begin to explore this university town, an enchanting hub of leafy courtyards, gabled houses, and monuments dating back almost 800 years. Walk along tranquil canals and explore Haarlem’s quaint cobbled streets, straight from the pages of a storybook, while marvelling at grand gothic-style churches and turning down the lesser-known streets and exploring hidden gems. Peer into cosy bars, fine cafes, and the unique stores that have given Haarlem a reputation as one of the world’s best shopping cities. Visit Molen de Adriaan, a traditional windmill and a striking feature of Haarlem’s skyline for centuries. See the monumental Grote Kerk, a Protestant church in the city center that’s home to a world-famous gilded organ and a treasure trove of medieval art. Join locals browsing stalls selling fresh produce, local cheeses, clothes, and antiques at Grote Markt, an authentic taste of the day-to-day life of Haarlem’s people, and admire the grand buildings lining even the quietest of streets. Of course, in a city famed for having the best museums in the Netherlands, it would be a crime not to explore them. The Frans Hals Museum is always an excellent choice. Your itinerary can be personalized according to your preferences. Once you’ve booked, someone from the local partner's team will be in touch so arrange any preferences or special requirements.

What people are saying about Naarden

Great trip. Having the Amsterdam & Region Ticket made everything so much easier to get around the city and surrounding area. Didn't have to think about tickets or if I needed to get different trains or transport to get to places like Muiderslot Castle and Naarden. Even if I wasn't sure if I was on the right train or metro it was easy to get off and just go back, depending on train times. Amsterdam Centraal station and the other stations in amsterdam are very easy to get around and there are information desks around that can always point you in the right direction. There are a lot of tourist attractions and areas for shopping but also, if you go looking, places that are quieter and easy going with plenty of picture opportunities with canals, old buildings that lean and just general things that you might not see otherwise. Also people cycling will be something you will notice immediately and there are many places to rent bikes to get around the whole city without issue.

It was worth it for traveling in and around Amsterdam within 60km radius only. So, people planning to visit areas like Den Hague have to buy separate train tickets individually. Basically I loved this option of ARTT. Only thing is after you get your baggage at the baggage reclaim area 1-4 of the airport , you have to go to your extreme right side of that space to find an automatic vending machine where you have to scan your booked QR code and get a receipt out of the machine, before exiting from the baggage reclaim area of the airport. Now you are good to go. Just hop on the bus or tram you need to travel, then scan the barcode of the reciept to chek in, do the scanning again to check out while de-boarding the bus or tram in Amsterdam. You are welcome!

When I arrived AMS airport , I unable to find any machine to validate my ticket. I just wenr to the train ticket counter (5min walk at airport arrival hall ),showed them my QRcode and managed to get my physical tickets. ,Convenient and fuss free travel ticket for one full day .

Once we worked out how to use the pass it was great, especially as we were stopping outside of main Amsterdam. We used it on the trains, buses and the tram. We definitely got our money's worth.

Easy to exchange coupon for ticket at Amsterdam station. Also received small map of coverage area of pass.
