The work was not completed and, during the Second World War, the tunnel was used by residents of the area as a military hospital, later becoming the Hall Judicial Deposit. The war left its mark even in the subsoil where we find handwritten messages of wishes and desolation of those who lived there. In the tunnels, you will also find statues dating back to the fascist period and a unique exhibition of many cars and motorcycles, abandoned for years and then freed from piles of rubbish, arranged and illuminated ad hoc along the route.

We took this tour on 15/09/2022 with Simone. It was an excellent tour with a very funny and personable guide, who kept us entertained throughout. There was 35 people on the tour yet Simone managed to make the tour personal. Thank you for a great tour from Kenny and Clare from liverpool. With love from me to you ❤️

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. When the tour was finished, he pointed us in the directions of plenty of other things worth seeing after the tour. I was also very late and they were very accommodating to my tardiness! I would definitely go again

Pompeii was a much bigger site than we anticipated. It was great to have a guide take us to all the key sites and explain some of the history before exploring some more ourselves. Would highly recommend!
