Take this opportunity to spend New Years' Eve on a boat in the middle of the Danube during one of the nicest evenings in beautiful Budapest. If you are longing for an elegant New Year's Eve dinner, Hungarian folk music and a romantic full-dress evening, then please do not book this program. This will be a simple, informal New Year’s Eve boat cruise without any formalities or mandatory events. The cruise will start at 9:30 PM and last until 2:00 AM the next day. After leaving the dock at Szent István Park, you will see everything on Margaret Island (Margisziget) that is worth seeing, then head south until the (new) National Theatre and arrive back to Parliament at around midnight. The Champagne will be prepared by that time, so you can enjoy the first moments of the New Year with a glass of Champagne. Following the Hungarian National Anthem, you will sail about half an hour to an hour in Budapest before returning to the port. You'll be treated to a spread of food, starting off with freshly baked breadsticks and rye-rolls with butter, butterhead lettuce salad, and a cheese plate with local and French cheeses. Enjoy a house-made chicken or pumpkin cream soup. Moving on to the main course, choose between beef stew with buttered dumplings, pork chops with caramelized shallots and fried potatoes, or vegan paella with vegetables, served alongside sweet potatoes with herbs, cold pesto fusilli salad, and grilled vegetables. It was a romantic experience on a open boat. To see the shores of Budapest while the son was going slowwwly going down and the city get lit up was truly magical. There were choices in the menu and the food was of very high quality. Overall a very excellent 3 hours spent.

Delightful experience. Docking was right across from the Budapest Marriott- which I highly recommend. Service was excellent and attentive. Menu selection a little limited but food was very good. FANTASTIC VIEWS during the nighttime cruise.
