I can’t say enough about this tour. It was informative and a great supplement to a basic historical tour of the French Quarter. Carlos was friendly and knowledgeable. It was really interesting and insightful, and what I learned has stayed with me. Perspective is everything, and we often fear what we don’t understand. Our son left NOLA with a mummified chicken foot charm, so I’d say it left and impression on him, too.

Scott was a terrific guide! He gave a fun presentation, but he treated the voodoo religion and traditions with respect. He provided LOTS of historical information about NOLA, Marie Laveau, Congo Square, and life in the early days of the city. His respectful treatment of the religious aspects and also the situation of enslaved people was appreciated. He went out of his way to dispel the myths surrounding voodoo, and I went away with a new understanding of the practices. I highly recommend this tour and guide!

even tho we could not go into the cemetery due to covid our tour guide, Matt, was fabulous. he had such a wealth of information. when the company we bought these tickets from gave us the wrong meeting spot, Matt was kind enough to help us find him and waited for us as we had to take another cab ride. I was extremely irate about having to pay for another cab fare but Matts positive attitude made this experience a joy
