The tour guide was excellent as a New Yorker with the irony and humour characterising a professional that keeps his audience alert and willing to learn more. Ellis island was good although a group guided tour would have been useful as the Wall Street and 9/11 memorial was. Overall I would recommend it for a generic approach to the city

Die Tour war sehr interessant und man bekommt sehr viel für sein Geld. Im Prinzip sind es zwei Teile, einmal der geführte Stadtrundgang durch Lower Manhattan/ Finanzdistrikt nebst 9/11 Memorial etc., gefolgt von einer selbstgeführten Tour mit der Fähre zur Freiheitsstatue und Ellis Island und zurück nach NYC. Die Fährüberfahten sowie der Eintritt zur Freiheitsstatue (nur Sockelgeschoß, nicht bis zur Krone) sind bereits inklusive. Ray war ein ausgezeichneter Guide, sehr authentisch mit großem Detailwissen, freundlich und aufgeschlossen. Rays persönliche und humorvolle Note haben die Zeit wie im Flug vergehen lassen. Man muss allerdings gut zu Fuß sein, um die Tour mitmachen zu können.

Justin's tour was even better than expected - I'd read previous reviews which were helpful and accurate. We had a small and very nice group (around 7 of us I think). Justin brought an interesting and informed energy and both my daughter (18) and myself really enjoyed the tour. Timing of guided tour was perfect. It was a good intro to NY at the beginning of our visit. I noted on previous reviews that we would be left by Justin at the ferry - this makes sense now and worked well. Tickets don't include walking up the Statue of Liberty (fine with us). Also worth noting you can join whichever ferry onwards that you like (every 20/30 mins?) and can skip Ellis Island if you choose (we did it briefly).
