If you want a great day of meeting fantastic people, learning about Amarone. Eating a great lunch snd enjoying very nice wine with families that have been making wine for generations, then this is the trip for you. Marco is extremely knowledgeable about wine and culture and is an extraordinary individual. We visited 2 small wineries and were led by the owners who explained the wine making process and history of their winery in detail. The owners were both pationate about their wines but about the environment around them. We enjoyed amamazing lunch where the chef prepared a pesto dish with an herb he had just picked that day. Of course we had amarone for the table. Marco is a superb sommelier but is a great person. I would highly recommend this tour as it exceeded all our expectations
Mario was genuinely one of the best people we have met on our travels! His kindness and easy demeanor coupled with his master sommelier certification made him the perfect person to spend a day with, tasting Prosecco and enjoying the countryside. He made us feel welcome and provided extensive knowledge of the wine, the wine making process and the region. Highly recommend spending a day with Mario or his wife if you want to escape Venice for the Italian countryside. He also looked after all the small details like a coffee and bathroom stop as well as a wonderful lunch at a small eatery in the Prosecco hills. Thank you Mario!
Mario, our tour guide, was outstanding! A sommelier by profession as well as native to the area, he was the perfect person to educate us on all aspects of the wine-making and wine tasting plus give us his personal remarks about the areas and vineyards we visited. I can’t say enough about the phenomenon day we had!!! Eight hours of pure delight!!!!!
