Highly recommended experience for those who want to make children and not only interested in the history of Rome. Claudia, the guide, managed to make this experience truly fascinating, very prepared and even we older ones followed everything with interest and curiosity, also discovering things that are difficult to study at school !!

Claudia was fantastic and pitched the level of the tour perfectly, bringing Ancient Rome to life for the whole family and enchanting our 6 and 9 yr old boys with incredible tales of gladiators and emperors. She is a true expert in the field (she collects books about the Colosseum as a hobby) and was able to answer all of our questions in detail. She was also very kind, bringing along little gifts for the children and talking to them about their interests - they loved her and were sad to say goodbye at the end. The 3 hours flew by and we didn’t want the tour to end! We went to Rome specifically for our children to see the Colosseum, so we really wanted to make sure they got the most out of our visit by going for a private tour - so glad we decided to do this as they afterwards said it was the ‘best day ever!’ Our children’s existing interest in Ancient Rome was magnified and, a week later, we are all still talking about the fascinating things things we learned on this tour!

Our guide Sophia has earned a full five stars! She told a lot of exciting and interesting things for both adults and children. She also gave us insider tips for Rome. For the kids she had something sweet to nibble on. There is a star deduction for get your guide: unfortunately the specified meeting point on Google Maps was the wrong one, so we had a bit of stress to arrive on time. Besides, nobody was available at the moment. It would have made sense if we had already had the number from Sophia. Nevertheless, we can recommend it to families and would do it again at any time. For information, our children were ten and twelve years old.
