I don't know if there is an option not to go with a guide, but I'd 100% agree to going with a guide. Ours was very knowledgeable and added so much to our visit. It was also lovely not to have to worry about getting ourselves out to Versailles. We showed up and let someone else navigate

Our guide Isabelle was wonderful and the trip went exactly as planned and advertised. If I had done more research I would have stayed in Versailles longer as the time on the half day tour after the palace guided tour was not enough to explore the gardens. Note when the fountains run - some were during our place tour and others were after we left. I would also take a picnic lunch as the restaurants in the palace grounds were booked or had long wait times. Or we could have had lunch in Versailles with more time. No reflection on the tour , just advice if you are planning to go.

Excellent experience. From check in to the end. The tour guides were knowledgeable and fun. They have individual radios with ear pieces so you can always hear the guide. My niece is hard of hearing and couldn't use the radio due to her implants, but the Barbara was amazing about making sure she was nearby so she could hear all the details. Thank you so much for being so accommodating!
