We had only one day to tour Paris so we opted for the Toot bus hop-on-hop-off for the day. It was wonderful. We got to see all of the main sights and the headphones provided tasteful information as we drove along. At some of the sites we got off the bus and walked around, took pictures, bought souvenirs, and got back on the next bus. It was wonderful.

We have used Toot bus before in other cities so knew they would be good. The operating hours are quite short in Paris though so keep an eye out for that. We ended up being stranded in the rain and having to navigate the metro and RER to get back to our hotel. Lots of other people on the same position at our stop too.

I love Paris so this touring of the city is always a good thing. However, I do have to say that it pales in comparison to years ago, pre-COVID when there were multiple lines that truly took you to every inch of the city. Now there’s only one Blue line. My wife and I were blown away by the difference. Once the Blue line was over we were both wondering, is that it? Somewhat disappointing…
