Full description

Meet your guide and get set up with your e-bike. Start the visit by riding along the Seine on a bicycle path to get out of Paris.

Cross the park of Saint-Cloud (1500 acres). Discover the fountains of the Grande Cascade designed by Hardouin-Mansart and Le Pautre.

Be amazed by the history of the former Royal Castle of Saint-Cloud. This castle was the residence of Philippe d'Orléans, the young brother of Louis XIV. It was also the residence of Napoleon. Pass through the statues of the Parterre des 24 jets. Take a selfie a great view of Paris in the background.

Ride through the small village of Marnes-la-Coquette. Admire the beautiful architecture of this small town located at "the gates of Paris".

Then, explore the Fausses-Reposes forest as you ride along paths sheltered from the sun under the canopy of the trees. 

Afterward, head to the Notre-Dame market. Purchase a variety of delicious local products according to your budget such as wine, cheese, baguettes, or saucisson. Your guide, a former restaurateur, will be happy to advise you. 

Enjoy your picnic lunch by the water on the banks of the Grand Canal. The Grand Canal is located on the grounds of the Palace of Versailles.

After lunch, stop in front of the Gand Trianon castle which was of great importance to Louis XIV. Then, visit the Petit Trianon castle gifted to Marie-Antoinette by Louis XVI (20min).

Stroll through the gardens, the Temple of Love, and the hamlet of Marie-Antoinette (30min).

Arrive at the iconic Palace of Versailles, surrounded by stunning fountains and lush gardens. Discover the gardens design by Le Nôtre at your own pace (30min)

Explore the Hall of Mirrors and flat of the King (1h15). You can use an audio-guide: mobile application proposed by the Château de Versailles. It is available in several languages. We loved our trip to Versailles! Great guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. Ebikes were comfy and easy to use; the cycling is very easy. The visit to the Versailles market and a picnic in the grounds were memorable and really made our trip. I cannot recommend the tour highly enough - thank you!!

Renaud was a fabulous person, a great source of information, and very organized in guiding us through the streets of Paris, along the Seine, through the old ruins of Chateau Saint Cloud, Grand and Petite Trianon, the gardens of Versailles and the Palace itself. Any issues with bikes were dealt with quickly and professionally and everyone felt very safe. I would strongly recommend this tour with Renaud as a highlight for anyone’s visit to Paris.

Brilliant day out. The bike ride was exciting - from riding through Paris traffic to riding on single track! Beautiful scenery. Lovely to stop at a market where we had 45min to buy ourselves a picnic lunch which we enjoyed in the park facing the Palace. Nice way to see the Palace which was in all honesty, just the sideline for us. Had enough time for quick walk around but if you want more time at the Palace & Gardens, you should rather go there for the day by public transport. A highlight for our active teenage & older kids. Great family fun.
