Full description

Hidden away from the modern world, this majestic European castle on the outskirts of Paris is a perfectly preserved example of the reckless extravagance of the French monarchy. Experience life at its most luxurious, in a setting of lush rolling lawns that stretch as far as the eye can see. Meet your guide at a central location in Paris and board a private, air-conditioned tour bus to Versailles. Skip the lines at the entrance with your pre-booked admission to Versailles, where your guide will lead you through the gardens and palace. Marvel at the sheer size of the Palace of Versailles, one of the largest and most spectacular castles in the world, boasting 700 rooms. See the incredible array of fine art and the intricate designs of the 1,250 fireplaces.

Work your way through the palace’s highlights, including the king’s and queen’s apartments, the chapel, the Coronation Room, the Hall of Mirrors, and the Salon of Abundance. Head out into the sunlight and visit the manicured gardens, covering an area of 1,800 acres.

The Musical Gardens show runs every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (except Wednesday, July 14) from July 1 to August 31, while the Musical Fountains can be experienced every Saturday and Sunday from May 22 to October 31.

The guide was friendly and knowledgeable. The meeting point was clear. It should warn people they won’t be able to access a bathroom except once you get to Versailles and also Versailles closes at 5 pm sharp so taking the afternoon tour means you won’t be able to see the gardens.

The tour leader was very good how he explains. Versailes Palace - one should not miss. One thing that we were upset about it was that they tell you that you go by coach from Paris to Versaile and when the tour guide arrived he told us that we have to go by train. One should know from the program that one have to go by train and not by coach as it stated.
