This was one of the best experiences of our trip to Italy. When you first walk into Claudia and Francesco’s home, you can tell it belongs to a family in which food preparation and shared consumption hold great value. In addition to Claudia’s clear expertise in cooking traditional Italian pasta dishes, she and Francesco were amazing hosts for the entire class and dinner! They are such nice people, it was wonderful spending time with them talking about their family, many of whom contributed freshly grown ingredients for the meal, and our plans in Italy. The experience was less a simple instruction on cooking, and more an invitation to join Claudia and Francesco in the preparation and enjoyment of an intimate meal with friends (us being the friends, there were no others there). We walked away from the experience not only having learned several new cooking techniques and recipes but gaining two new friends.

Liberata was terrific. Super patient, both with my beginner Italian and my pasta making skills. I had a wonderful time in an authentic Italian kitchen and made a new friend. My pasta was delicious thanks to her skill. Also, I learned about the different types of “farina” and herbs which we picked from her garden on the terrace. With a glass of vino, we enjoyed our meal and talked about home life. Liberata showed me how to do Tiramisu as well as a bonus lesson in biscotti with lavender. All in all it was a perfect day and I would recommend this highly.

This was an excellent introduction to the history and architecture of Perugia. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, explained things well, and knew answers to all our many questions! We too the tour on our first day in town, and referred back to what we had learned many times throughout our stay in the city. Grazie!

Laura and her family were all wonderful, very kind and patient with me. I enjoyed learning how to make ravioli and tiramisu for the first time, followed by great conversation with the family around the table. Thank you!

Excellent guided tour to get to know Perugia and its history. Our guide was really good, a young girl but really prepared.
