Full description

Boarding your air-conditioned coach in Florence, you will meet your tour leader who will stay with your group for the duration of your day trip. As you journey through the rolling hills, vineyards and olive groves of the Chianti region, they will tell you what to look out for in each new town. Your first stop will be the medieval town of Siena, where the Palio horse race has been held twice a year since the 17th century. When you arrive in Siena you will have free time to explore the red-bricked city and admire the magnificent Duomo di Siena which stands out with its white and greenish-black marble facade. Back aboard your coach, you will spot the iconic tower houses of San Gimignano on the skyline from miles away. This Medieval walled town will be yours to explore, as you wander back in time along the narrow streets, being able to ask your tour leader where to find the best gelato. After enough free time to explore and take pictures, rejoin the group for your complimentary glass of Chianti wine and some nibbles. The coach will then return you to Florence.

Hop back on your coach and enjoy a transfer to Pisa. Here you will have free time at the Piazza Dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles) to take pictures in front of the infamous Leaning Tower of Pisa. You will also have time to explore the lesser-known Duomo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Baptistery, before your driver returns you to Florence

Very satisfied with this activity! We were lucky because we were a small group of 10, it was relaxed and enjoyable! Our guide Rinata was smiling and good company, her explanations were relevant and appreciated! The bus was super comfortable. The time granted to the 3 places is quite well chosen. 1h for Pisa is very sufficient, 2h for San Gimignano and 2h for Siena. San Gimignano was our favourite, beautiful, the tasting there was quick but good! I recommend the activity, perfect to visit the 3 places without hassle, with lots of free time, guide 100% available if you want to be really ''guided''.

The guide, Renata, was very helpful. The tour allowed us to visit three wonderful cities. Too bad only for San Gimignano, where we would have liked to spend more time. On the other hand, the time spent in Pisa and Siena was wonderful, where we were able to visit the historic centers and also the fantastic museum of torture. The tasting was excellent and the staff very courteous.

The trip out of Florence was well worth it. The guide was very nice and responsive. However, at each of the stops you get a 5 or 10 minute introduction by guide who also sets schedule and points for meeting. She was very responsive to individual questions when she was with us, but other than that, there was never any in depth commentary since the guide does not accompany the group within the visited cities, nor did she narrate on the bus except a few minutes prior to arriving. No commentary on what we were seeing even on the way out of Florence, which could have easily turned into a very wonderful narration of points of interest.. Other than to say wine area at some point mentioning the types of wine, there were hours of silence. If you want a more in depth perspective, do not take this tour as guides apparently are not supposed to give many historical facts or narrate while on the bus. It was an overview if you do your own research before or after. The tasting was very disappointing,
