Full description
Establish an intimacy with Portugal's wine region Douro Valley. Departing from Porto, with no more than eight people, to pass through Peso da Regua where we will break to look upon the Douro River, the life source for the area.  Visiting the villages of Pinhao, where you will embark for a world of Port Wine. You will be given a tour of one of the most delectable wineries in the region, where you will be able to sample a few of the best. Afterwards, you will travel to a traditional Portuguese restaurant which compliments food with local wines. Before returning to Porto, you will visit a village of Vilarinho de São Romão. This village is recognized by BBC Travel as one of the best views in the world. This village also is home to a family-run farm that produces wines with love. You will be able to enjoy wines, cheese and olive oil, all locally produced.

We had the BEST day with Sarah! 8 hours sounds long but it was the perfect time. We had great wine, a great guide, and an amazing trip looking at the different parts of Portugal. We would do this all again and have a blast. It was well worth every penny.

It was a treat to be picked up at our hotel. Sarah was a good driver and nice low key guide. We visited a family winery/olive oil/honey farm with tastings with an informative local guide. A lunch in a lovely setting, a Douro River boat ride and a Port wine tasting. Wonderful experience in a gorgeous setting

We had an amazing time! Sara was a wonderful guide and driver, very friendly, personable, informative, and professional. She kept our group on schedule without feeling rushed. The wines/port, vineyard tours, boat ride, and lunch were excellent! Highly recommended!!
