Meet a collective of professional Fado artists who share a passion for the pure and classic Fado and enjoy an intimate concert that combines all the aesthetics and authenticity of this music genre. There are two types of Fado shows: Every day at 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm, you will hear the pure Fado show dedicated to the most authentic tradition of classic Fado. Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 9:00 pm, you will hear tributes to historic Fado artists and concerts dedicated to specific thematics such as love, "saudade", dark Fado, white Fado, etc... If you want, you can arrive at the venue early for the opportunity to chat with the musicians. Listen as they tell you about the different types of Fado and learn what makes this genre so special. During the concerts, you'll listen to a traditional music style that is far removed from the commercial Fado that is often found in tourist hotspots. This is the only venue in Porto which is fully dedicated to authentic and artistic Fado. This aproach is defined by improvisatio and it's a musical invitation to contemplate the nature of existence and to express joy and sadness in a celebration of life. During the concerts you will hear around 12 Fados and 2 instrumentals songs of portuguese guitar, an exquisite instrument that you must listen if you're coming to Portugal. Before the concert starts, you will be offered a glass of Port.

A lovely show with excellent musicians. Venue was an old cellar with a beautiful arched ceiling and good acoustics. If you get there a early you’ll get the first seating choice and can sit near the front. We were about 10min early and were in the back but could hear and see pretty well. The port served was nice.

as the other reviewers already mentioned, it is a very food and drink heavy walking tour. we walked what felt like 50m between the first stops. nevertheless we had a great guide and very good food from local shops. also a very small group (8pax)!

Joseph was an excellent driver and host and created a very relaxing day for us. Comfortable car, pleasant conversation, flexible as needed. A very good value and enjoyable trip.
