Porto Santo Stefano: Giglio & Giannutri Mini Cruise and Meal

1. Porto Santo Stefano: Giglio & Giannutri Mini Cruise and Meal

Discover two of the pearls of the Tuscan archipelago, the islands of Giglio and Giannutri. This mini cruise offers you a thousand shades of blue, traces of history from prehistoric times, and seeing villages full of charm and unique flavors. The tour starts from the iconic Porto Santo Stefano harbor. From here, reach the first destination of the tour: the Island of Giannutri. The island still preserves the remains of an ancient Roman port near Cala dello Spalmatoio and a Roman dock near Cala Maestra. Admire the steep coasts and the ancient island’s intersection with a crystalline sea.  Next, see the Island of Giglio. The island is characterized by its mainly granitic ground and by the typical Mediterranean vegetation of vines and olive trees. On the east side, see the coves of Porto, Arenella, and Cannelle, to the west see the long and wide beach of Campese. If you prefer to get lost in alleys and breathtaking views, you will undoubtedly be fascinated by Giglio Castello. Inserted among the most beautiful villages in Italy, it boasts a wall with cylindrical and rectangular towers. Before leaving the island, you can visit the artisan shops of Giglio Porto. On the way back, enjoy a full meal onboard, comfortably seated inside the eco-friendly cruise boat. Having seen two wonders of Tuscany your tour ends back at Porto Santo Stefano at 6:30 PM.

From Porto Ercole: Monte Argentario Boat Trip with Lunch

2. From Porto Ercole: Monte Argentario Boat Trip with Lunch

Departure at 10:00 am from Porto Ercole. You will set off to sail along the crests of this magnificent silvery sea full of life under the Argentario sky in order to reach Cala Grande, Cala del Gesso, Cala dell’Olio, Isola Rossa, Cannelle, Cala Purgatorio, Grotta dei Santi, Grotta Azzurra. Depending on the wind and sea conditions, our captain will choose the coves to reach during the day so that you can enjoy a day in safety and rest. In the middle of the morning our captain will delight you with a snack of bruschetta accompanied by a glass of prosecco or a cold drink; for the little ones we will serve soft drinks. Afterwards, a special surprise lunch prepared by our captain who will prepare a mouth-watering dish: his special and famous cold pasta with tuna, cherry tomatoes and avocado or a plate of spaghetti with clams or simply a cold rice/pasta enriched with 0 km products. They say they are real delicacies! Everything will be accompanied by a good fresh wine and various drinks. We remain available for other types of menus that we can offer on request. During the day you will be able to admire the famous crystal clear water of Cala Grande, the famous white pebbles polished by the sea and an ancient watchtower in Cala del Gesso as well as the tower of the Cannelle Argentate, which was built on the promontory of the bay to protect against barbarian attacks and from which it takes its name. The Grotta dei Santi, on the other hand, is famous for its bizarre stalactites and stalagmites whose shapes resemble the figures of saints from which the cave takes its name. It is also one of the most ancient areas of Monte Argentario, as it is here that relics of life from remote and distant times have been found. Lastly, you will pass by the Grotta Azzurra, which, like the grotto on Capri, is unique and beautiful thanks to the daylight that reflects in the water, giving it a particular intense blue. At the end of this unforgettable experience, our captain will take you back to the port at about 18:00.

This mini-cruise was very nice. The staff and meal provided was excellent. The only reason I cannot give it a 5 star rating is because it was advertised as being offered in English, which is the option that I selected, however, the captain spoke Italian the entire time, so we had no idea what he was saying to his English speaking passengers about the islands, etc. That was very disappointing as I like to have as much information about what I'm seeing as possible. SUGGESTION...if they are not equipped to provide an English speaking Captain and are unable to interpret what they captain is saying they should have a recording that can be played highlighting all of the information the Captain provided in Italian.

First time at Giglio. Organized boat trip. What a horror! Alright'. I don't find anything else. Instead ... captain and friendly sailors, joy on board, education. All organized very well but managed with good-naturedness, lightly. Very pleasant! Excellent and abundant lunch. This is said by someone who eats out often. Giannutri first. Some free time. Dive into the sea if you like. Then Giglio. Even more free time. After lunch. Cala cinnamon twenty minutes on foot. Worth the ticket.

Perfect organization. Possibility to choose a guide for both islands directly on board. Maximum punctuality. Really great lunch (served hot and in record time to everyone). Very kind and very nice staff. Very nice and clean ship. Obviously the two islands are beautiful but it is a given. I absolutely recommend this experience!

Great excursion with new ship and helpful crew. Great food. Recommended.
