Michael is an academic with boundless knowledge of this quaint medieval town. Tour starts at bus station, goes over bridge, turns back into town for a bit of shopping and a bite to eat in a charming tearoom, concludes at the gorgeous church on hilltop. A perfect day!

Helsinki is a great capital. Our five-hour short trip was definitely worth it! A totally “different world” awaited us here, the old Porvoo rich in tradition and then the new town next to it. I can only recommend this excursion to everyone.
