Step back in time and visit the luxurious Art Restaurant Mánes in Prague for a jazz show and dinner. Listen to Prague's best jazz musicians perform while savoring a 3-course dinner inspired by the cuisine of the 1930s.
Your evening takes you to the Art Restaurant Mánes in the heart of Prague. The building itself is built in the functionalist architecture style and also houses the famous Mánes Gallery. The restaurant's ceiling is decorated with murals by Emil Filla, a Czech painter, sculptor, and prominent Cubist.
The evening's program includes popular hits as well as pieces by renowned composers from the first half of the 20th century. Listen to music written by Jaroslav Ježek, George Gershwin, Scott Joplin, or Fats Waller. Hear the great Lamoš sisters sing and play, accompanied by well-known Prague jazzmen such as Antonín Šturma (bass), Jiří Polydor (piano), and Jan Štolba (saxophone).
The concert is divided into 4 parts, with your gourmet meal served to you during concert breaks. The menu prepared by chef Jaroslav Zahálka is inspired by the Prague cuisine of the 1930s.
Start off with a pea cream soup with butter croutons, fava beans, basil creme fraiche, watercress oil, and afila sprouts.
For your main course, choose between the veal fillet fried in butter, served with fine mashed potatoes and chard, or the zander with smoked velouté, dill, chive oil, beets, Salicornia, and potatoes.6
For the vegetarian option, choose the steak of roasted cauliflower, wild broccoli, cauliflower puree, and hazelnut relish with pecorino. Each meal is rounded off with a classical Czech dessert, ducat buns with vanilla cream.
Enjoy a welcome drink on arrival and feel free to purchase additional drinks from the bar during concert breaks.
