Full description
Traveling by comfortable motor coach and accompanied by your professional, licensed NYC bilingual tour guide, your day will start in the borough of Manhattan, known as “the city”, with a ride through Harlem in Upper Manhattan. You’ll learn about the development of this diverse neighborhood and see historic sites, such as the world-renowned Apollo Theater, the debut venue for many performers such as Ella Fitzgerland, The Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye and many others. Next, you’ll travel north, to the borough of the Bronx, where you’ll see the home of one of the most famous baseball teams in the world: The New York Yankees! You’ll also learn about the birth of hip hop and view original street art while walking along the streets.  The tour continues across the East River into the borough of Queens, one of the most ethnically diverse counties in the US, whose residents speak over 100 languages. You’ll pass through the exclusive Malba neighborhood, with its many beautiful homes, and visit Flushing Meadows Park, home of the US Open (one of the oldest tennis championships in the world), as well as the New York Mets baseball team and the Unisphere (leftover from the 1964 World’s Fair). You will then proceed to visit the borough of Brooklyn, viewing the neighborhoods of Williamsburg and Crown Heights, home to one of the largest Hasidic Jewish communities outside of Israel, alongside a younger, gentrifying non-Jewish population. Afterwards, you’ll head down to world famous Coney Island, a destination for New Yorkers for generations, seeking fun and relaxation. Weather permitting, you’ll have an opportunity to explore the boardwalk, and to have lunch at the original, legendary Nathan’s restaurant. Finally, you’ll head back over the East River, passing by the historic Brooklyn Bridge, on your return into Manhattan. We did this tour in December 2021 and was pleased with the content, presentation and enthusiasm of the guide. A good experience of 3 boroughs with several stops en-route at key places. One thing to be aware of; booking the small coach tour (15 people) at an extra cost resulted in only the large coach (55 people) made available at the point of boarding. This can reduce the time on and off the coach and will be more of an issue for some people. We requested a refund for the difference of cost a couple of times and an amount was eventually credited promptly with thanks. The coach was very comfortable, modern, luxurious and well driven.

Our tour guide was great. Showed all interests places and he could tell a lot about them. The Bronx and Brooklyn were very interesting. Learn lots of facts and history. The tour was in English and Spanish. Even as a German you understand every word. Always an immediate answer to questions There was always enough time to take photos. On this tour we learned a lot about New York and its neighborhoods. Very satisfied, many thanks for the great time, gladly again.

We booked a tour of the boroughs of NY. The guide was friendly and, although we booked a tour in Spanish, only 5% of the explanations were in that language. The rest was in English, so I had to translate for my companion. The stops were very short and Queens were not visited. We chose to get off at the Brooklyn Bridge and were dropped off in an area with no sidewalks, in the middle of a busy intersection which was quite dangerous. I got the feeling that this was up to the driver and his desire to finish soon.
