Join this 16 people maximum tour, You will be picked up from either your hotel, guesthouse or bus stop starting 30 minutes before departure time (Please allow a thirty-minute window for everyone to be picked up) The journey will take us outside of the city limits away from any light pollution as the Northern Lights are harder to see from Reykjavík. To which location it is hard to say, it will depend on the cloud coverage and activity in the evening. The drive will be kept as short as possible and you might stop at several locations as the lights can be quite elusive and often it will be a waiting game for this beautiful phenomenon, which might be perfect while your guide sets up his camera for the free photoshoot of your group. What people are saying about Reykjanes Peninsula

Excellent attitude and enthusiasm of our guide Vjeran in the morning walk through Geldingadalir, he explained many things and made our walk very enjoyable, beautiful landscapes, simply wonderful. At night on the Northern Lights walk our very friendly guide Gomybear also and although we could not see them completely they were going to make up the trip for us, however we did not have enough time. GetYourGuide always on the lookout for every question and quick solutions, I highly recommend this application and of course I will continue to use it for future schedules. Reliable, fast and safe.

Great trip run by Bikay, picked us up from the City Hall at 20:15 (promised 20:00 - 20:30) Took us out to a very good dark spot (light pollution is awful around Reykjavik). Hot chocolate and doughnuts very welcome. We saw the Northern Lights! - A faint green glow in the sky, improved slightly as time went on. Photos very much flatter the appearance of the lights. Bikay had the knowledge to persist when we were ready to give up.

Great trip with a friendly and knowledgable driver. Weather conditions weren’t looking too favourable, but with the knowledge and perseverence from our driver, and a drive a little further north, we found the lights. Hot chocolate and doughnuts a nice touch, as well as the horses. Well worth paying the extra for a small group tour. Would highly recommend.

Our guide Björk was great, she explained a lot and provided important information. The tour into the Geldingadalir valley was great. It was amazing to see the huge lava fields that were still smoking from the heat. The Northern Lights Tour could not take place that evening due to the weather and was postponed

Unfortunately no northern lights seen, but very informative. Well organized. Thanks to the guide.
