Marvel at the rift valley where the huge tectonic plates of America and Eurasia drift apart, and cast your eyes on the shores of Iceland’s biggest lake. Continue to the hot springs of Geysir to experience Iceland’s most famous natural attraction at the site of the nation's original geyser. Feel the ground shake and watch the steaming hot water of the Strokkur Geyser erupt every few minutes into the sky. End your Golden Circle tour with a visit to Gullfoss, where you can take an easy walk to the edge of the waterfall for a truly mesmerizing sight.     Know before you go

    • This tour is available year round (depending on the weather)
    • Children aged 12 to 15 are entitled to a 50% discount. Children aged 0 to 11 years can travel for free
    • There are no minimum number of participant requirements and no age limit to join this tour
    • Dress according to the weather. It is always wise to dress in warm, waterproof clothes. Weather changes can be sudden in Iceland. Bring a waterproof jacket and pants, headwear and gloves and good outdoor shoes
    •  You are recommended to bring your own headphones as they will fit you best and it is better for the environment. If you don’t have your headphones with you, or forgot to bring them on the day, they can be purchased on board the bus
    • The tour will take approximately 7.5 hours, including a minimum 30-minute stop at the Geysir Hot Springs, Gullfoss Waterfall and Þingvellir National Park
    • There are shops in Geysir and Gullfoss where you can buy food and drinks

    This was my favourite day out in Iceland. The tour was really interesting, giving the opportunity to see some amazing sights including icy mountains, frozen rivers, hot springs, geysers, waterfalls etc. However the only disappointment was the tablets they handed out, which provided information on 34 points along the route. We were given one to share and unfortunately ours had a flat battery after 5 minutes and both charging cables in the seats were broken.

    Good tour

    First remember to bring your earphones for the audioguide. No usb charger on board. Beautiful places, around 50 min to 1 hour 15 minutes each stop. Could be enough but you have to count all the other tourist, line for bathrooms or to have lunch can steel quite a bit of your time. Nothing to say with the tour organization. They do the best to be sharp with the time they have.

    The bus was roomy & comfy, forgot my iPhone earphones adapter for the audio guide but was able to buy them on board. The GPS audio guide tablet is a nice little touch! Our guide was friendly & knowledgeable; despite the audio guide he would tell us other things about the places were in or passing by. We saw Thingvellir National Park, Strokkur Geysir & Gullfoss waterfalls, all incredible sights. Food isn't included so we brought our own, but the coach stops for lunch around 11.45am at the geysir which has a shop and cafe so you can buy food there, toilet breaks at each stop. I wish I could remember the driver's name, we travelled on Friday 15th Feb; thanks for a lovely day :) Would recommend this tour to anyone and everyone!
