Explore the fascinating world beneath the lava fields on this 3-hour caving tour. Located near Reykjavik, it’s a perfect example of an Icelandic lava tube, providing a truly unique experience as you explore the dark and mysterious underworld. During your adventure you will see curious rock formations left behind by the last volcanic eruption. In winter the cave is often filled with glistening icicles of all shapes and sizes, a sight not soon forgotten. After you have been equipped with all necessary caving gear, you will crawl beneath the surface of the earth to explore the fairytale passages and crevasses of the cave. With guaranteed departures from Reykjavik every day of the year, put on a pair of good shoes and gloves, and bring a sense of adventure for this unorthodox trip. This was one of the best tours I did in Iceland and I totally recommend it. Maria, our guide is amazing, very knowledgeable and funny. She’s so far the best guide I had. She made the whole experience even better. Many thanks María for the wonderful day at the caves and snorkelling tour!

Very interesting!!!

Although time did not accompany us, we were able to enjoy the activity. To put a but, I think the difficulty of the two routes should be more defined, my wife (not very agile) cost her the first section a lot, the second section is not even tried, only our son who was amazed and explained to us That difficulty is important.

The tour and guide were great. We were here at the end of March, it was raining and the inside was dripping from the ceiling. Rainproof clothing would therefore be an advantage. You should also be a little bit fit and agile, as it was sometimes relatively narrow and you also had to climb a bit.
