The tour was excellent. We enjoyed every aspect. The pick up from the bus stop was on time and easy. Our guide was ‘Ciggy’ and we was very professional and funny and kept us entertained on the long drive to Katla. Upon arrival to Katla we transferred to the jeep and our guide was ‘Hawk’ (Steve). The drive in the keep was great fun and when we arrived to the glacier Hawk gave us a briefing and we donned the crampons. My mum is 70 and was unsure on the ice at one point. Hawk was incredibly kind and helpful to escort my mum into the ice cave and also back down off the glacier. He provided an outstanding service and made the holiday very memorable. I can thoroughly recommend the tour.

What a great tour! We had an amazing time hiking throughout the glacier, going through the ice cave and seeing additional waterfalls. The experience was enjoyable for the whole family including our 8 and 10 year old. We also had some guests in our group who needed some hiking assistance and the guides did a great job of accommodating everyone's ability. Highly recommend this unique experience.

The ride to Vik from Reykjavik was great, but then when we reached Vik, our guide was not able to communicate with us for at least 30 minutes or more which delayed our journey to Katla Ice Cave. Nevertheless, the activity is a must do in any (safe) weather condition! Our mountain/cave guide was so skillful and nice and guided us through the tunnels safely.
