Full description

Experience the raw natural beauty of Iceland's Golden circle with this day tour from Reykjavik. Feel the rush of watching the Strokkur geyser erupt. Take a swim in the warm relaxing waters of the Sky Lagoon geothermal spa.

Be picked up in Reykjavik and take in the country landscapes as you are transported to Thingvellir National Park. Walk between two continents at the location where the Eurasian and American tectonic plates meet. Hear stories about Viking history at the site of the first Viking parliament.

Next, head to the geyser geothermal area where you can see the geyser Strokkur erupt every few minutes.

Marvel at Strokkur as the geyser sends boiling hot water up into the sky. Continue to the Gullfoss waterfall to watch as millions of gallons of ice-cold, glacier-fed water plunges 30 meters into a canyon.

Finish your day with a trip to the Sky Lagoon geothermal spa. Experience Icelandic bathing culture first-hand with a relaxing swim in a 250-foot infinity pool. Admire views of the dramatic coast as you lie back in the warm soothing waters.

Have the freedom to swim up to the cave bar for a refreshing cocktail. Try the revitalizing Icelandic 7-step ritual that includes a fog misting, an indulgent body scrub, and a trip to the steam room.

The day started very early. Just one word about transportation - the buses are always much later than stated. So you arrive at 7:20 AM for a bus betweeen 7:30 and 8 AM and the bus arrives at 8:10 AM. However, the accomodations on the bus were good. The guide and driver did well and we saw the geysirs, the waterfall etc. and then headed back to the city and the 6 of us went to Sky lagoon, which was awesome. We waited briefly for a van to take us back to the hotel. So all in all, it was a great day. Thank you.

We asked for the pick up and drop off at the bus stop closest to the hotel. Very comfortable. Spacious and comfortable bus. On the bus they asked us if we needed the audio guide. In the seats there are two USB sockets for recharging the mobile phone even if ours didn't work to tell the truth. The guide Karen was very friendly and gave us loads of information. The driver drove very well considering the condition of the road and the amount of snow. Stops that left time to see everything. Recommended.

The sights are well worth visiting, but we only got 40 minutes in Pingvellir National Park. Not only was this insufficient time, but it wasn’t even properly light when we arrived. If we’d had a coffee instead of going for a walk, we wouldn’t have seen anything at all! However, the tour guide was good - full of information not only on the sights we visited, but also on Icelandic history, culture & folklore. The Sky Lagoon with the 7-step ritual was a truly magical experience which I would highly recommend.
