Our guide was very fun named Michael. He was very friendly, kept us safe and talked to us the whole time. Great source of information and he made sure to check in with everyone individually to create a personal connection and make us feel included. Any introvert will feel safe and included!

A brilliant tour from start to finish, Michal kept a smile on everyone's face throughout with his running commentary and deep knowledge of the area even before we left Reykjavik. The pickup service collected me right from my AirBnb and dropped me back there making the whole affair more convenient than I could have imagined. The hike itself and the sights and nature around there were second to none and exactly what I was looking for in coming to see Iceland. If you want to see what a volcano looks like up close and see some weird and wonderful geology, this is for you. I'm not a seasoned hiker by any means but while it wasn't a casual stroll through the park, it wasn't super taxing either, a few steep inclines and some rocky terrain are about the worst of it, just bring waterproofs if you don't want an uncomfortable journey back! The weather was pretty rainy and windy but it only added to the experience really! Oh and we got some free chocolate. Highly recommended.

Great tour! Michael was a great guide, had a wealth of really interesting knowledge and looked after us very well. There was no active lava when we went, but we stuck our hands into the steamy cracks in the lava field and felt the heat! Really cool experience, and weirdly was like walking on a meringue.
