The volcano erupted close to Fagradalsfjall, in a valley named Geldingadalur on the evening of March 19, 2021. The volcano is absolutely boring with just black stones. But 5 star rate is for guide's suggestion about "today is a very very very good day to watch the northern light". Then I ordered the tour for aururo that night, even though it is a rainy day. However, the aurura is truly show up, and it is so strong and beautiful!!! So lucky to meet this guide and get right suggestions from him. Thank him.

We had 5 adults hiking and pick up was very prompt. The van was comfortable and the hike was moderately difficult. Our guide kept track of us and made safety recommendations and also helped us with pics of the group. It made the hike very relaxed and fun. The lava field was our favorite part.

The tour was fantastic and the guide was very kind and considerate regarding everything. Wonderful landscapes- we were lucky to have a little bit of sunshine over. The weather is really crazy out there in Iceland- we had rain, snow, wind and sun, changing so fast in 15 minutes. The weather was optimal for out hike but again, it is a matter of luck. The wind can get tough and make it hard to walk on the top of the mountain. Other than than, it is a must- breathtaking!
