We needed to be in the city at our accommodation quickly after landing, as we had a tour in an hour or so. We'd heard that the buses weren't reliable so booked the private transfer for peace of mind. Our driver was great and got us there in plenty of time.

Excellent driver, was on time and drove well. He was friendly and answered several questions we had about Iceland. My only issue was that we had four people and four bags. The office said that we may need to upgrade to a larger vehicle because the vehicle could only fit three bags. I thought that was odd. They ended up picking us up in a larger vehicle and didn't charge us anything extra.

Great service. First time visiting Iceland so not really sure where we were supposed to go. They wait for you at the airport and dropped us right in front of the hotel. Very easy. If you have a group of 4 it makes more sense to take the private transport as the bus tickets for 4 people are almost as much $$
