Full description

Tuck into Rome's iconic street food on a guided walking tour of the Jewish Quarter or Trastevere. Learn about local food with five tastings and try delicacies, such as pizza, supplì, and seasonal dishes.

Choose between a tour of Trastevere or a tour of the Jewish Quarter, two of Rome's most picturesque districts with group and private tour options available. With your guide, learn about Rome’s history through its most beloved street food.

If you've chosen the Trastevere tour, meet your guide on Tiber Island and soak up its unique atmosphere before entering Trastevere. Step into vibrant squares, such as Piazza Santa Maria, and indulge in popular street food, from cheesy supplì to delicious cannoli.

If you've chosen the tour of the Jewish Quarter, head to the lively Campo De' Fiori square where one of the oldest open-air markets takes place every morning.

Then, follow your guide to Rome's Jewish Quarter and see highlights, including the Portico of Octavia and the Turtle Fountain.

Throughout both tours, enjoy five tastings with some wine and beer. Finally, make your way to an ice cream shop for a much-deserved treat. Both tours finish on a sweet note with the perfect Italian gelato.

Highly recommend this tour! We did this tour on our first evening in Rome and it was a fantastic way to explore the Jewish Quarter whilst sampling some wonderful traditional food and taking in some ancient history. Our guide Claudio made sure each of the participants were very well looked after. He was very passionate and knowledgeable and made and made sure we had enough time at each place we visited so that we were not rushed. One of the highlights of our trip.

Excellent experience, even in the middle of the rain. The guide Emilio, very friendly, attentive and with interesting information on the different aspects of Travere Nocturno. All very rich and varied tastings, typical "street food"!! . It is a tour that everyone who visits Rome must do 100%. It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes since there is a lot of walking and a poncho or an umbrella just in case, although there are always street vendors who solve the situation. As a suggestion, I would only add the information of the street where the tour ends in order to plan the return to the hotels in advance. When I return to Rome I will do it again (by the way, greetings to Franchesco!!! )

Really nice combination of a tour of an interesting, historic neighborhood, with delicious food along the way. Really liked Francesca our guide. I suspect Trastevere gets a lot of people there for the restaurants and night life, but doesn't attract much other attention because it lacks the big monuments of central Rome. But the history is significant and the tour gives you a bit of everything. The stop at the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere was a highlight (as were the cannoli).
