    Embark on an excursion of the ancient city of Pompeii and the beautiful Amalfi Coast, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Travel in a small group of 6 passengers in an air-conditioned minivan with your own English-speaking tour guide.

    Start your tour at Pompeii's archeological site and tour the highlights of this ancient Roman city, including the Macellum (food market), the Thermal Baths, the areas where the Romans would gather to have dinner and wine, and the homes of wealthy citizens.

    Next, head towards the Amalfi Coast, stopping for lunch in Positano. In winter, most of the businesses in Positano town are closed in which case you will visit Amalfi town instead. Enjoy time in these towns to try local cuisine and browse the shops.

    The tour is very interesting but the time to get to know Pompeii is very short and because it was not in summer we could not visit Positano, we only saw it from afar. Amalfi very nice. It's worth going. But to be a one day tour you can visit the most important.

    Tour felt extremely VIP in its organization and execution. Or maybe I just lucked out with Covid conditions? In any case, my tour ran like clockwork with only two other attendees getting what was ideally VIP treatment with a driver; a driver trainee; and a host/tour guide for our transportation in a small private bus. Upon arrival at Pompeii, our personal tour guide, Hector made sure we made the most of our time with a very detailed, customized, and interactive tour that was both extremely informative and entertaining. Don’t let his age and footwear deceive you, Hector is both sharp and fast. As for the Amalfi Coast, the town was extremely beautiful. However, given the time, distance, and stressful conditions (one lane driving w/tons of cutbacks) made this excursion far less enjoyable. It’s already 2 hours from Rome to Pompeii but to add another hour drive to Amalfi and 3 hours to get from Amalfi back to Rome, definitely makes this portion far less enjoyable.

    Absolutely amazing. First they were on time at our hotel. We were the only ones on the tour so it felt super special and luxurious. Both our guide Dina and the driver Roberto were super friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. Pompeii was awesome, great informative tour and great food. We then continued to Amalfi coast which was gorgeous. Second stop at Positano, such a cute town. We opted to walk around and eat on the way instead of sitting at a restaurant the whole time, best decision I think because we got to see more. We stayed there for about two hours and then took the boat to Amalfi. Amalfi is tiny but very cute. Definitely get the limoncello sorbet, delicious. We were only at Amalfi for 30min and headed to our bus which was waiting for us at Amalfi. A few hours later got back to the hotel happily exhausted. Dina also gave us really good recommendations for food and the best gelato in Rome. All were delicious. Would definitely recommend this tour, worth every penny.
