This was a great tour to have booked! If you take the metro to get there, it's super easy to walk from the nearest metro station to the bike shop (or you can taxi/uber). Glenn was our tour guide, and he was fantastic! It's an absolutely beautiful trail you ride on, with plenty of opportunities to stop and take in the scenery, take some photos, and hear a little about the history of the Appian Way. We stopped to see a few of the ancient aqueducts as well! One of my favorite parts was where we stopped for lunch - it's a small local-run market type of area, with several local vendors selling fresh fruit, delicious wine, and many other choices for whatever you're looking to eat! There are bathrooms and a place to fill up your water bottle here as well. Glenn seemed to know some of the vendors and introduced me to one of them, where I tried their wine and chatted for a bit (he helped translate for me!) Overall, I would book this tour again and recommend you do too!

Had an amazing time being shown the Appian way and more by bike by our very knowledgable guide. He gave us nice bite sized palatable bits of information of all the key sites we came across (which is a fresh break from some dry info tour guides you get) and knew how to answer any questions we had. The motor assisted bikes mean that its suitable for all levels of fitness so no one gets left behind, so you can have an easy or as hard of a time as you wish peddling about! So glad that this is something that is available, as it makes such a refreshing change from your standard tours. It was definitely hands down the best part of our trip! Would definitely recommend to those looking for a more interesting and fun way to explore Rome. We will totally do it all over again should we visit.

We did the Appian Way bike tour with guide Glen. Simply Fabulous. Recommended. A whole morning, a stone's throw from the center, surrounded by greenery and history. Glen was great, patient and kind.
