This Collosseum Tour was fantastic and our guide was excellent. We experienced a weird thing in that on the digital ticket it only stated 1 hour and we were worried that we had paid for 3-4 tour but were not going to get it. So we booked a separate tour for the afternoon to cover what we thought we would not get to see. If the info on the pass had been correct we would not have done this. My husband has tried every which way to get the afternoon one refunded on the same day but GYG are not having any of it! Very expensive day all told, we cannot talk someone in person to explain, just e-mails! We feel we had been mislead and then no negotiation on what we felt was not our fault. We probably won't use GYG again even though their tours have always delivered in the past.

Great and informative tour with a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Included access to the underground of the Colosseum as well as the arena floor. You are free to explore the upper level that is open to 'regular' visitors on your own after the tour. You can also enter the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill. Would recommend this tour to everyone who wants to make the most of their visit to Rome and who is interested in the history of Ancient Rome!

in hindsight I definitely feel this is the best way to see the Colosseum. Seeing the underground added so much more to the context of the Colosseum's history than simply walking around the upper level(s); access to most of these, plus the arena, was included. Great guide with a compelling range of stories and explanations; she really helped to bring the history of the place to life.
