    The tour commences on the platform directly in front of Trajan’s Column. Trajan’s Column is located on Via dei Fori Imperiali next to Piazza Venezia. When standing right in front and facing the Victor Emmanuel II Monument (the “Wedding Cake) it’s directly to the left across the street. Your tour coordinator will be waiting here wearing either a blue polo shirt or a blue jacket with the City Wonders logo printed on it. If you are arriving by taxi ask your driver to take you to Piazza Foro Traiano. You will see the roughly 30 meters high Trajan’s Column as you enter the Piazza, and the meeting point is up the steps on the platform next to it.

    Nice tour that leads widely around the Colosseum and then into the highlight. Two guides took turns. Our first guide in front of the Colosseum was unfortunately very difficult to understand. The guide in the Colosseum is all the better. The tour in the evening was very nice and can only be recommended.

    We did this tour in September 2019. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and the colosseum at night was very interesting. There were much fewer lights than we had anticipated, so you could not see too much of the amphitheater other than directly where you were standing, but it was great to not be surrounded by crowds of people. However, the tour was insanely expensive, and I’m not sure that it was worth the price.

    The meeting point was easy to find. The guide was very knowledgeable. She took the tour to the Colosseum. Even people with little knowledge of English could understand the guide well and understand what was said. Change of guide in the Colosseum. She spoke very quickly and it was not easy for people with little knowledge of English. The tour itself was great. The highlight for us was the Colosseum with underground and arena with show. Why isn't there such a tour also in German?
