Travel back in time to ancient Rome, when the Colosseum knew its moments of greatest glory. Experience reconstruction of the Colosseum in 3D, integrated with audio commentary.

Walk through the bustling square towards the arena floor. Hear the roar of ferocious lions and fighting gladiators and along mysterious underground corridors where slaves prepared the shows. After your virtual experience, skip the line to enter the Colosseum. This iconic symbol of Rome was built to accommodate 50,000 to 75,000 spectators. Once you have explored the Colosseum, continue the cultural visit at the ruins of the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill, where Rome was founded.

Because we wanted a different experience this time we accessed a tour with virtual reality glasses. It was a perfect choice to better understand the grandeur of the place visited but also to better enter the "story of the place". An excellent idea that I hope to meet again at other tourist attractions such as the Romanian Forum and more. The guide who accompanied us took great care to explain what we have to do but also to make this interactive experience for children and teenagers. The little surprise at the end was welcome and will help us remember the place visited but also the wonderful experience at the Colosseum.

Super nice guide who explained everything, even told everything in Italian and for us in English and was always ready during the VR if something should be. With the VR glasses you don't walk through the Colosseum, which would also be difficult, and yet you virtually walk around the outside, into the Colosseum and even into the basement - very cool!

Unfortunately, a lot is blocked off in the Colosseum at the moment. This is probably due to Corona, because a few years ago it looked very different. Unfortunately, from my point of view, the barriers are not expedient. Because in this way people are forced to meet each other in a smaller space. Perhaps, in fairness, this should be communicated to the visitors BEFORE the viewing. However, I would like to emphasize that the criticism is not directed at the provider of our tour, but at the city of Rome, which handles the barriers at many sights. Without barriers, more people would simply have more space and would not be channeled through narrow, predetermined paths together.
