Full description

Your tour will begin from the local tour operator's office, near the entrance to the Roman Forum.

Your guide will accompany your group to Piazza Venezia where you will begin to make your way up Via Fori Imperiali towards the Colosseum. This street is lined on both sides by ancient Roman ruins. Your guide will recount for you the fascinating history of this period and bring the ruins back to life. At around 20:50 (time may vary according to day), you will arrive at the Colosseum. You will have the benefit of visiting a virtually empty Colosseum, as well as visiting the restricted areas of the arena and dungeons. You will be accompanied the whole time by a fully licensed guide. This will be a fantastic way to explore ancient Rome away from the heat and the crowds.

I did the tour with my 13 year old son. The tour was even more fun and interesting than expected. The guides were friendly, had a lot of knowledge and could tell everything in an interesting way. We were only with a few other groups in the colesseum. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves for the entire duration of the tour. In short, this was well worth the money. Highly recommended!
