davide was an excellent guide, both personable and very knowledgeable. The three hour walk took us first through the forum and vestal temple, then up the hill to the site of the old palace. Panoramic views including the colosseum from this terrace. The final stop was the coliseum. Our visit was later in the day in june, the light was approaching the golden hour. The structure is impressive and my impression was our tour’s access to a reconstruction of the arena floor was a bonus not always available. Parts of the tour could be a little challenging for some, there is a fair amount of time in the sun and the stairs in the coliseum are quite steep by modern standards. Davide’s commentary brought so much context to this memorable experience, we recommend this tour highly.
