From the start, this tour was great. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and answered every question thoroughly. We had signed up for the optional "drinks on the balcony", which we are so glad we did. We did the tour in Easter morning, and we had a reserved table on a balcony overlooking St Peters. We were actually able to see the Pope out on the balcony at the Basilica giving his Easter blessing.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable. of the Castle. Wish he would have talked more about the Castle in some parts and show less pictures from his book as we wanted to take photos of us around some things. Felt like he talked more about what he had in his book than the actual Castle. Enjoyed seeing the Castle especially the statute of Michael close up but this tour seemed rushed so was not able to take photos of some things.

First of all: I was in Rome in August during Corona, while all activities inside were only possible with the Green Pass. Accordingly, my experiences with regard to visitor density could vary from conventional operations. Castel Sant'Angelo is definitely worth a visit. The meeting point is directly at the main gate over which St. Angelo stands. Once there, you meet your guide, as described, to whom you give your name. He gives a short introduction and off you go into the castle. The green pass is checked at the entrance. Inside there is a ticket inspection and a brief fiber measurement. Everything together took less than 5 minutes. The guide was very friendly and particularly focused on the artistic aspects of the castle. Although my English is not the best, I could understand him very well. At the end you could linger in the castle and explore the rooms again on your own. The tour was very nice!
