The tour took almost 3 hours and we were lucky to be only 7 people in the group. The queues were very long, but the tour had special fast truck. That save time and energy. It’s important to have a guide to get a lot out of the tour. It’s difficult to do it on your own. It was very little time to see the Vatican Museum. The tour is expensive especially for a family.

The guide was late but very friendly. However, he repeated the same thing 4-5 times. We were a small group and mature people and had a little hum about things so I probably expected a little more interesting things. It felt stressful and we had to leave a bag in the storage bid entrance and it took at least 20 minutes to get around / back there before they closed which meant we only had 15 minutes inside St. Peter's Church that we would walk on our own. We do not have Eng as our first language and if the guide had spoken a little slower it would have been easier to understand the Italian / English accent. We did not understand at all what we should look for well inside St. Peter's Church.

Amazing places. Great to skip the queue. Unfortunately the guide wasn't great. Our tour was changed to 8.30 instead of 10.00 due to changes made by the Vatican. We arrived in plenty of time as instructed but the guide was late, no-one in the office seemed to be able to tell us what was going on, she didn't introduce herself until we got inside the entrance, and the audio system wasn't clear at times. We started about 30 minutes late.
